Francisco Fernández-Álvarez is a founding member of Fernández Cuyar Rovira & Plá LLC. Mr. Fernández’s practice is concentrated in two areas – employee benefits and taxes. In his employee benefits practice, Mr. Fernández advises and counsels businesses and individuals on the constitution, implementation, administration and reorganization of qualified and unqualified corporate and personal retirement, pension and deferred compensation plans. With regard to his tax practice, Mr. Fernández advises and counsels businesses and individuals on how to lower their tax exposure, as well as, structuring the local investments of businesses interested in establishing operations on the island. Mr. Fernández further advises businesses and individuals seeking tax decrees from the Puerto Rico Department of Economic Development and Commerce.
